Turmeric powder produced at Fong-Man Farm is derived from the variety “Mingdao No. 1”, selected by Professor Chen Shih-hsiung, president of Mingdao University, and Dr. Hsieh Jui-yu from the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources at National Chung Hsing University, for its high curcumin content. The turmeric is naturally cultivated in the selected red soil found in Mount Bagua, Nantou. Turmeric root that has been grown over 300 days are manually harvested and processed using advanced proprietary biotechnology to retain the full nutritional value of the turmeric.
